The Gown master will inspect
your gown personally. She will determine the fiber content,
the fabric weave, and the durability of the trim. She will
test the fabric for its tensile strength, or weakness.
She will then determine
which method of whitening and stain removal will be most
effective and safe to restore your gown or vintage garment.
All of this is done before proceeding. If any difficulties are
anticipated you will be contacted for consultation.
The Gown master has been
accredited by the International Fabricare Institute and has
studied with curators from the Smithsonian
Institute.
